What it is
A Josh flavoured latex condom, carrying a scented and sweetened lubricant intended for oral use. This one is Strawberry. It is a full condom in every other respect and protects normally during intercourse.
What people use it for
- Oral sex, where a flavoured coating masks the taste and smell of plain latex.
- Protection during oral sex — sexually transmitted infections do pass this way, and this is the barrier for it.
- Ordinary intercourse, which it is equally suitable for.
How to use it
- Open the foil at the notch, pinch the tip, and roll it down to the base.
- Use it for one activity only. If you move from oral to intercourse, change to a fresh condom.
- Add water-based lubricant if you switch to intercourse — the flavoured coating is not designed to lubricate for that.
Worth knowing
The flavoured coating contains sweeteners. It is intended for the mouth, not for internal use, and using a flavoured condom vaginally can cause irritation or contribute to thrush in people who are prone to it. A plain or standard lubricated condom is the better choice there.
Safety and storage
Use a new condom for every act, and check the expiry date on the foil before use. Open the foil at the notch with your fingers — teeth, scissors and rings are how most tear before they are even on.
Use only water-based lubricant. Oil-based products — petroleum jelly, baby oil, massage oil, lotion, most creams — weaken latex within minutes and are a common reason a condom fails without either partner noticing.
Store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight. A wallet is the worst place to keep one: heat and friction damage the latex long before the printed expiry date.
Stop and see a doctor if either partner has itching, burning or a rash after use, which can indicate a latex allergy.

Do I really need a condom for oral sex?

How do I know if the size is right?
A condom that fits should unroll to the base without strain and stay put without gripping painfully. Too tight is likelier to break; too loose can slip off. If a brand has never felt right, change the size before you change the feature — a small pack is a cheap way to test.
How long do these keep?
