Benefits and how to use
Benefits, how to use it, and what to watch for
What it is
A EXCITER textured condom — raised dots, studs or ribs moulded into the latex itself, not printed or added on. Known locally as dane wala. The texture is intended to increase sensation for the receiving partner.
What people use it for
- More sensation for the receiving partner, which is what the raised pattern is for.
- Contraception and STI protection, identical to a plain condom.
- Variety, for couples who find plain condoms fine but unremarkable.
How to use it
- Open the foil at the notch and check the direction before rolling.
- Pinch the tip and roll to the base. The texture sits on the outside, so it does not affect how it goes on.
- Use water-based lubricant generously. Texture without lubricant reads as friction rather than sensation, which is the usual reason someone dislikes them.
- Hold the base on withdrawal.
Honest expectations
Response to texture varies a great deal — some people notice it clearly, others barely at all, and a few find it uncomfortable. A small pack is the sensible way to find out which you are, and there is no correct answer.
Safety and storage
Use a new condom for every act, and check the expiry date on the foil before use. Open the foil at the notch with your fingers — teeth, scissors and rings are how most tear before they are even on.
Use only water-based lubricant. Oil-based products — petroleum jelly, baby oil, massage oil, lotion, most creams — weaken latex within minutes and are a common reason a condom fails without either partner noticing.
Store somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sunlight. A wallet is the worst place to keep one: heat and friction damage the latex long before the printed expiry date.
Stop and see a doctor if either partner has itching, burning or a rash after use, which can indicate a latex allergy.
Stop if the texture causes soreness or irritation for either partner, and switch to plain.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Do dotted condoms actually make a difference?
For some people clearly, for others hardly at all. It depends on individual sensitivity, and enough lubricant to let the texture glide rather than drag. Buy a small pack before committing to a large one.
Can the texture cause irritation?
It can, particularly without enough lubricant or during longer sessions. If either partner feels soreness, add water-based lubricant or switch to a plain condom.
How do I know if the size is right?
A condom that fits should unroll to the base without strain and stay put without gripping painfully. Too tight is likelier to break; too loose can slip off. If a brand has never felt right, change the size before you change the feature — a small pack is a cheap way to test.
How long do these keep?
Every pack is printed with an expiry date, usually three to five years out from manufacture. We ship recently-dated stock, and the date is on the foil as well as the outer pack so you can check it yourself.
Is this original stock?
Yes. We buy only through authorised importers and distributors, so everything listed is genuine EXCITER stock and ships sealed in its original manufacturer packaging. We do not sell loose, repackaged or open-market goods.
Will the packaging show what is inside?
No. Orders ship in a plain, unbranded outer box. No product name appears on the label or on the courier slip, and the sender shows as a neutral business name.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
Yes. You pay the courier when the parcel reaches you, so no card details are needed. Orders over Rs. 2,000 ship free anywhere in Pakistan.
