Flavoured Condoms: What They're Actually For (and Where Not to Use Them)
The flavour coating that makes oral use more comfortable is the same reason not to use them for penetrative sex.

Flavoured condoms are made for oral sex specifically — the sugar-based flavour coating is a poor fit for penetrative use. Here is why, and what to buy instead.
Flavoured condoms are a real, useful product — for a specific purpose. Using one outside that purpose is where the confusion (and occasionally the irritation) starts.
What flavoured condoms are made for
The flavour coating exists to make oral sex more comfortable and pleasant by masking the taste and smell of latex. That's the entire design brief. Popular local packs include Josh Sindhri Mango, Josh Strawberry, Klimax Tutti Frutti and Touch Strawberry — all latex condoms with a flavoured, usually sugar-based, exterior coating.
Why they're not built for penetrative use
The same sugar-based coating that makes a flavoured condom pleasant orally is a mismatch for vaginal use: sugar can disrupt the vagina's natural pH balance and encourage yeast infections or irritation with repeated use. It's not that a single use will cause harm, but it's not what the product is optimised for, and there's no upside to using it that way when a plain or standard-lubricated condom exists specifically for penetrative sex.
The simple fix if you want both
Use the flavoured condom for oral, then switch to a fresh, plain or standard-lubricated condom before penetrative sex. Reusing any condom across acts is not recommended regardless of flavour — a fresh condom for each stage is the safer default, and it's a small cost difference against a real hygiene and effectiveness benefit.
What to buy instead for penetrative use
Any of the standard, ribbed, dotted or delay lines — Touch Classic, Josh Classic, Sathi Plus, DO Extra Delay — are designed and lubricated for that purpose without the sugar coating.
